Folimage: La Résidence by Arnoud Rijken Date Added: Friday 26 January, 2007

The Canadian Films of Paul Driessen by Arnoud Rijken Date Added: Friday 26 January, 2007
The Canadian Films of Paul Driessen The amazing world of Paul Driessen is not to miss. A great animation film maker who dares to experiment within his own style and language. Sometimes resulting in not that good films but luckily most of the time very funny and near genius like in two films on this dvd: The end of the world in four Seasons and The Boy who Saw the Iceberg. For me The boy is Driessens best. It is funny but also very dramatic and touching. Don't miss this film...

Folimage: La Résidence by Arnoud Rijken Date Added: Friday 26 January, 2007
Folimage: La Résidence A the end of the world (A bout du Monde) alone makes this dvd worthwhile buying. I think this film is one of most humoristic films of all times. I watched it allready over 20 times and it still makes me laugh. Next to that you get some more beautifull films like Michael Dudok Dewits film The Monk and the Fish, The Great Migration by Tcherenkov and A Tragic Story with a Happy Ending by Regina Pessoa (winner Grand Prix Annecy 2006)...

Mind My Gap short film trilogy by Michiel Snijders Date Added: Thursday 25 January, 2007
Mind My Gap short film trilogy I guess Rosto really is an animation artist. I am a great admirer of his style. This DVD is something you show to your friends and collegues saying " you have really never seen anything like it! ". If you are an animation professional, you must must must have this one. My only critical note is on the storytelling level. Allthough I like many non-narative films, this one more or less suggest a story that is not realy clear enough for my taste...

Life in Transition by Michiel Snijders Date Added: Thursday 25 January, 2007
Life in Transition I witnessed the Annecy 'premiere' of this film. It was projected on a piece of white linnen on a wall, programmed in between very bad and childish films. The film was rejected for the official competition and thus landed in the selfproclaimed 'reject festival'. It was horrible to see it there because it is such a joy to watch with more care and attention. It is a very personal film. But really tries hard to hide the seriousness and is easily misunderstood (as was done by the programmers in Annec..
